PURPOSE DRIVEN
Claudette Zepeda expresses her unique style in this 7” Chef’s knife collaboration.
The knife design is lightweight and versatile. Its warm olive wood handle has a contoured pommel for a sure, comfortable grip with any sized kitchen task.
Our 80/20 blade grind produces a thin yet rigid blade and the ballistic clip point adds strength to the tip. The swept edge geometry and cambered handle make the knife exceptionally responsive and lively when used on a cutting board.
Staying sharp is key, so we used Nitro-Cobalt steel which will hold a terrific edge that is easy to restore.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR BLADE
This is a special collaboration with Chef Claudette Zepeda. Her knife is special and is meant to be an heirloom piece. Some care is needed for the knife to ensure it lasts.
RULE 1
Hand wash and thoroughly dry.
Avoid using dishwashers.
RULE 2
Clean immediately, especially after cutting salty or acidic foods like tomatoes and citrus.
RULE 3
Regularly apply a light coat of mineral oil using a paper towel to the blade and handle.

CHEF CLAUDETTE ZEPEDA'S CHARITY OF CHOICE
Launched with a goal of feeding 30 families a week, No Us Without You LA is currently(As of August 2024) providing food security for over 700 families monthly. Diaz and Nolasco plan on offering food relief packages through 2024(and beyond) as a way to show undocumented BOH workers that they are not forgotten. They are not in the shadows. They are seen, heard, and respected.
As of August 2024, NUWY-LA is serving over 700 families (2,800 humans) quarterly at no cost to them.
The Forge Initiative is a collaboration between Messermeister and chefs to create innovative products. A portion of the proceeds goes to non-profit organizations chosen by the chefs.
Messermeister believes in giving back beyond the kitchen. Supporting non-profits has always been a core part of our identity. Over the years, we have partnered with various non-profit organizations. However, we wanted to establish partnerships that allow us to craft truly unique knives with our favorite chefs while making an even bigger impact.
